Delete your account and data
Last updated: 2026-08-10
You can delete your Dorak account, and the personal data attached to it, at any time. The fastest way is inside the app — it happens immediately and needs nothing from us. If you have already uninstalled Dorak, or you cannot sign in, section 2 is a route that does not need the app at all. Section 3 explains what is not deleted and why; it is worth reading before you decide.
1. Delete it yourself in the app
Dorak has two kinds of account, and they delete different things. Both are immediate and permanent.
If you book appointments (a customer account) — open the app, go to the Account tab and choose Delete my data. That removes:
- Your saved places.
- Your profile — the first name, last name, email address and terms acceptance held against your phone number.
- Your phone sign-in. Every device signed in with that number is signed out on its next request, and the verification codes stored for the number are deleted.
- The link between your phone number and your past bookings. The number is detached from them outright, so they no longer appear in your bookings on any device.
The appointments themselves are not deleted, and neither is a client record a business created about you — see section 3.
If you run a business (an owner account) — open the app, go to More and choose Delete account. Dorak asks you to prove it is you first: either the account password, or a fresh code sent to the phone number the account signs in with. Owners sign in by phone, so you do not need to remember a password to delete your account.
What happens next depends on whether anyone else works on the same business:
- Other people have logins on the business — only your login goes. It is deactivated, its sessions are revoked and its notification devices are removed. The business, its calendar and your colleagues’ access are untouched.
- Yours is the only login — the account is the business, so deleting it permanently removes the business itself: every appointment, client, service and category, membership plan, membership and session balance, recurring booking, working-hours and availability setting, resource, booking-page setting, and the public booking page with them. This cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it for you afterwards.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled Dorak, changed phones, or simply cannot get into the app, ask us and we will delete the account for you. Write to either of these:
- WhatsApp: +972 53 388 8023
- Email: [email protected]
Tell us:
- The phone number on the account, in full international form (for example +972 50 123 4567). Dorak identifies customers and owners by phone number, so this is the one thing we genuinely need. If yours is an older business account that signs in with an email address, send that instead.
- Whether it is a customer account, a business account, or both — the same number can be both, and they are deleted separately.
- That you are asking for deletion. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.
We verify who you are before deleting anything. A message on its own is not proof of ownership: we send a verification code to the phone number on the account and wait for you to send it back, or otherwise confirm that you control that number or mailbox. This is deliberate — without it, anyone who knew your phone number could erase your bookings by writing to us. If we cannot verify you, we will not delete the account, and we will say so rather than go quiet.
How long it takes. We answer within 3 business days, and complete a verified deletion within 30 days of verifying you — in practice usually within the same week. We confirm in writing once it is done. A request that reaches us over WhatsApp from the account’s own number is normally the fastest, because most of the verification has already happened.
3. What is kept, and why
Deleting your account does not erase every trace of you from every business you ever visited, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
- Appointments stay with the business. An appointment is the business’s own record of its day — the same thing a paper appointment book holds — and it belongs to the business, not to us. Deleting your account detaches your phone number from those entries; it does not remove the entries. If you want a business to erase its copy, ask the business directly, and we will help it do so.
- A client record a business created about you stays with that business. If a business added you to its client list — a name, phone number, email, private notes — that record is part of the business’s relationship with you and is not part of your Dorak account. What your deletion does clear is your answer to that business’s request to link the record to you: it returns to unanswered, so whoever holds the number next is asked again rather than inheriting your consent.
- One counter survives, keyed to your phone number. Deleting a customer account erases the profile but leaves behind a bare, incrementing number stored against the phone — no name, no email, no bookings, nothing descriptive. It is what stops a session issued before the deletion from being replayed after it. It tells anyone reading the database nothing about you beyond the fact of the number.
- Verification codes are purged automatically. Yours are deleted outright when you delete your account, and expired codes are cleared on a schedule for every number regardless.
- A business’s allow or block list is the business’s own. If a business added your number to the guest list of a private booking page, or blocked it, that entry is its record about a number rather than part of your account, and it stays. Ask the business to remove it.
- Backups and the law. Deleted rows can survive for a short while in routine database backups before those are rotated out, and we keep whatever a law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires — no more.
4. The rest of the picture
What we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy; the rules for using Dorak are in the Terms of Service. If anything on this page turns out not to match what actually happens, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix the page.
